The empire that Radditz first built was rightfully put in place, to keep the humans in line. Since he was a young child, Konoren was taught by both of his parents to hate the humans, and use force if necessary to keep their subjugation total. His father was a saiyan elite who went by the motto of "blast first, ask questions later," and his mother an only child of a powerful family in the saiyan hierarchy. Their marriage was an arranged one, but neither seemed to care, both happy with their new spouse. The consummation of their marriage, however, was mutually agreed upon.
The training of their new son Kono was started as early as possible. However, instead of enrolling him into the regular military training program, they sought out a personal military strategist, one who would put Kono at the top of the roster for Saiyan General. The training was rigorous and harsh, but that was to be expected of the saiyans. More importantly, however, it taught the young Kono the importance of ki manipulation. "Leave the brutes to their strength," the teacher would preach, "and let the strategists take the lion's share."
