Aice walked out from the burned building, black scars
running the length of its worn steel body, one of few building that still stood
this far south of city. It had taken a pretty hard hit back in the days when
the Saiyan’s first arrived on earth, quite different than that of northern
slums. While up there you had poor, starving, dirty people and destroyed
buildings, down here all you have was the destroyed buildings; very few people
ever went down this far, frankly because there was little to nothing down here
in value. Occasionally someone might find some Pre-Saiyan tech but the risk of
coming down here was greater than the wealth. Saiyan’s had a knack of coming
down here to spar, or to find any lost humans, and do god knows what to them.
Aice could see a few skeletons lying around the area, he had an idea what
happened to them, not wanted to end up like them he decided it was time to go.
The building was marked as a drop point for the rebels against the Saiyan
Empire, whenever they needed things done they would drop missions off for their
workers. Aice had decided that he had enough of what the Saiyan’s were doing so
he met some people with connections and wounded up out here, the middle of no
man’s land. Taking the envelope outside to get a better look at the note,
taking the letter from its package he flipped it open reading it message:
*A recent infiltration of one of bases has led to a leak in vital
information, find the intruded, disable or kill the target and destroy all
evidence that he has on his person.*
*The following is a description of the target from eye witness testimonies.
From the reports we collected he was wounded during his escape, his movement
should be slowed, finish this mission before he arrive at his designated
location*
“I wondered where on his body he was wounded? If it’s the legs, it
should be pretty easy to catch up with him in no time, but if it was just a
shoulder wound he could be far gone now.” Aice continued reading the note…
*Target was last seen heading North West from the south, time was 11:00*
“Hmm…that was about 4 hours ago.”
Aice using his hands traced over the horizon, as he mapped out the route in his
head, as he mumbled to himself quietly.
”Well he should be about two hours out from the gates of Rad City, heading
through the slums right now. If I go full speed I should get to him before he
reaches the gates. That’s a best case scenario. So I better stop standing
around and fucking book it.”
Slipping the note back into the envelope, he placed it into his back pocket and
with one final look back at the south he dashed towards the slums with all
engine firing off. It took some time to get for Aice to reach the slums; there
had been a large amount of Saiyan heading his way down in the south. Taking his
advantage of his stealth and speed he managed to just barely avoid the group,
the sun was beginning it slow descent towards the horizon in bot very long it
would be dark.
“Damn I have to find him before that sun sets, otherwise I’m shit outta
luck; it’s like looking through tar here at night.”
Taking hold of a nearby pole Aice managed to wiggle his way up it and on to a
nearby building, being up here allowed his to get a better view of his
surrounding area. This time of the day these back streets were empty aside from
the random drunk, or druggy. It’s amazed Aice that even in this of great
despair people could still find alcohol and drug, just letting themselves
forget the pain of the real world. Looking past the few people that were their
Aice spotted a patch of reflective substance on a wall across the way. Jumping
from the roof top Aice grabbing a window seal, it gave him a hand hold; with
that he caught hold a rain spout sliding the rest of the way down. Landing on
the ground he sprinted over to the reflective material, getting closer he could
tell that it was smeared hand mark running the length of the wall.
“Well this is the best thing I have to go on, I have seen him yet, but it’s
a start. Hopefully I’ll follow it and find this guy.”
Following the direction of the blood Aice began to track through the back
streets, it was an easy trail to find, whatever caused this person wound had
been a good hit. If this was the guy that Aice was chasing, then if Aice didn’t
get to him the lack of blood would eventually. The path that Aice followed
flowed into a large court yard, what once head shop how cared to buildings full
of people, looking hat him nervously as he walked in. Giving then a friendly
wave Aice looked around the area for a sight of the man. Off on one of many
hanging clothes lines Aice noticed a ripped shirt partially covered in blood,
running over too it a man came to stand in Aice’s way.
“Excuse me sir, I need to take a look at that shirt there.” Aice
exclaimed to the man
“And what? Ruin it like the last man here?” the man raised his voice
“To be fair it's already ruined."Aice remarked being a smart ass.
"Wait...The last man…”Aice thought.
“Wait someone came through here before? Did he look like this?” Pulling the
note out he showed it to the man before him, taking a few seconds to read the
note he looked back up at Aice.
“Yes that describes the man; he came here damaged out property and attack
one of people, just before he ran off into the city.”
“Which way did he go?” Aice exclaimed.
The man pointed north out of the gate of the court yard, with a quick thanks
Aice dashed through the gates, heading after the man; hot on his trail it was
only a matter of time before he caught up with him. Stuffing the note into his
jacket Aice, took down the street like they predator catching up with its prey.
“From the looks of the rip I’m guessing he wrapped up his wound, to help the
blood loss, just enough to stop the massive blood loss he was having, I’m surprised
he has made it this far."
Looking through the buildings he could see that he was coming up to the gate,
the barrier between the poor and the wealthy. Up head Aice saw a flash of
somebody running through the rubble of a few buildings; just from the way he
was running Aice knew that his was the guy he was after. Just ahead of
him a collapsed wall made for a prefect staircase, leading up to building
scaffolds. Taking no time Aice jumped up the wall, climbing the rest of way up.
Landing on the scaffolds he could see the intruding running though the alley
ways towards the gate, Aice had to stop him before he made it there, Aice was
going to stop him.
Running the length of the scaffolds Aice looked around him; the wooden
platforms only went a few more feet before it stopped. Hanging from a once
operational crane, hung a steel cable, dulled with time but still sturdy;
taking one leap Aice grabbed on to it. Even though the cable hadn’t
rusted didn’t mean the crane had, with the unexpected extra weight part of the
cranes arm gave in tilting at an angle. This change of weight caused Aice to
swing rapidly down towards the man on the streets below, if it wasn’t for the
impending death if he let go, it would have been enjoyable. As Aice closed in
the distance between him and the man, he pulled his hand up facing the man
below him. The Ki began flowing through his body; it felt as though Aice was
energizing his whole being. Sparks began to appear from Aice finger tips, as
the Ki encircled his out ward stretched hand; feeling like he was ready he
shouted out.
“Paupers grief!” Aice’s hand lit up like a Christmas tree on fire.
(Those bitches burn bright and fast!)
The electrified beam shot out from Aice hand flying across the opening towards
the man, who just now took notice of the shouting behind him, turning around he
noticed the beam of light headed his way. With a look of shock on his face he
slid his head slightly over, just in time as the beam just missed his head, his
face turn into a smile. Until that is the beam hit the wall right
behind him, engulfing a small area with an electric field catching him in it
was well.
Aice reached the lowest part in the swing he jumped down on to a nearby room
top with a slight thump, a larger fall than he was used to, it knocked the air
out of him briefly. Getting up quickly he climbed his way over to where the man
now lay on the ground twitching in pain, or from the paralysis cause by Aice’s
attack.
“Not so smug now are you bitch? I’ve been looking for you all day.” Aice
said spitting at him.
Searching his body Aice found the document that he was looking for, taking a
few second he burned them with a small energy beam, and then turned back to the
man who was still lying on the ground. Looking the man back over he saw his
upper arm had a white cloth rapped ground it, blood leaking through the middle
of it. Even though it hadn’t slowed his down all too much it did help Aice
track him throughout the city alleys.
“Now what shall we do with you?I can't have you running back to your friends,
and I’m a little low on Ki, so I’m going to have to finish you another way…”
Aice said as his eyes wondered the area, shortly after he began to smile.
Dusting his hands off, with a grin of success Aice turned south, the sun
setting in the west casting his long shadow across the buildings and rubble.
Hosted above the ground, with the steel cable wrapped around his neck, the man
hung above the buildings. Tied to his chest was a small envelope with the
words:
*Death to all Saiyan’s*
written in blood, a sign to all that past through. The man’s feet twitched every once
in a while whether the man was still alive or was being electrified was of
little care to Aice, he had completed what he was set out to do and that was
it.
“Another job well done, time to report in.”
