Busting open the door to the halfway house, the group was immediately met by a mob of people. Most were injured and seeking medical aid from the clinic, the others were trying to give that aid. Scurrying about the crowded former apartment complex. The walls had been torn down on the first floor so that all could walk about and be treated. Yet even with over 20 rooms the area was jammed wall to wall. Not even able to step through the door a volunteer met them.
"If you have a friend or family member injured and they are awake, please head up the fire escape, if they are not please wait here and we will try to fit them in."
Pulling out a black sharpie, the woman reached over to Jinsoku, who was slung face forward over Serge's shoulder. Her hand reached his mask as Serge quickly caught her arm. Though they were all fighting for the same side, and the woman was just doing her job, Serge was not a patient man by any means.
"Everyone get out of our way NOW!"
He yelled, slamming his rather large fist into the door frame causing the entire room to shake, and the lights to flicker. The loudness of the room quieted almost instantly as the people at the door way scooted what little they could backwards, and the three men, four counting the incapacitated Jinsoku, walked through the crowd. Mark couldn't look at them, ashamed to have been so useless in combat after all Winta had done to help him. Tido also avoided eye contact, his arm was still out of place and now wrapped in a makeshift sling. He didn't want or need any sympathy from these people.
Slowly making their way up the steps to the second floor, and not stopping until they had reached the final emergency flight, the three men made their way to the rooftop, a place reserved for a special group, one that was about to make their presence known.
Setting Jinsoku down in the center of the rooftop, Serge pulled out a small cantine. Though Jin's mask would not allow him to straight pour the liquid on his face, the hole in the mouth area did allow for him to stick the bottle in and allow it to empty into the man's mouth. Jin would either wake up, or drown to death at the bottom of a cantine full of rum.
Unsure as to whether Aice had followed, or if Winta was even still alive, the group would begin and hope for their arrival, and for Jinsoku's awakening. Regardless of their actions however, Tido and Serge had business.
"What are the losses?"
Tido asked, putting one leg up on a nearby ledge and looking out at the smouldering smoke pile that once was the tallest tower in all the region. Serge sighed and reached into his trenchcoat pocket pulling out a small book.
"Well fuck Tide they did some real damage. My team stayed to the side like you asked and helped refugee's...I still wish you would have let me fight the general with you"
A quick dirty look from Tido set Serge back on course, rolling his eyes and letting out another deep sigh.
"Right...well if what I saw was right, we lost about a fourth of the kiddo's in the Settlement. Not bad considering what they came for. We also only lost about five percent of citizens so far. Assuming the building can hold together we might be able to keep that number steady. The gate and the courtyard are both in shambles thanks to Broc and this masked fuck over here...not that I liked that gate anyway... and our village was raided pretty hard. No one was there to defend it with my team gone so a lot of people will be homeless now"
Being so matter of fact...how could he do that? Tido was sure he had the saiyans this time, but Broc was...overwhelming. He wasn't just strong, he was unbelievable. He could do incredible things, and Tido was no where near his level. Nobody was.
