A young boy named Kaito Kimiwara, age fourteen, sat in front of a white domed homestead. He was curled into a small, tight ball with his legs pressed against his tiny chest. Kaito's short, stubby arms wrapped around his legs as he bent his head down and let his brown bangs hang down from his forehead. Tears rolled down his tanned cheeks while he lowered his head. He wore a plain brown shirt and pants along with a pair of brown shoes as well.
The boy lifted up his right hand to reveal a photo hiding underneath of it. He looked at the photo with his green eyes and an older looking version of himself in the photo. Looking at the photo caused more tears to form in his eyes.
"Father, why did you leave me here last month?" he asked the photo which was actually a picture of his one and only father Kojiro Kimiwara.
He remembered that day like it was yesterday and how the man had stood outside their home with a spherical space pod. He pat Kaito on the head and then opened up the pod to slip inside it. "I'm going off to find your great grandfather." He had been told this as the man's space pod, a stolen Saiyan space pod, had been given the chance to lift off. Soon Kojiro would disappear into the stars as he left planet Namek and left Kaito's life forever. The only thing he would leave behind is a strange mechanical glove and a few other gadgets Kaito did not know how to use.
All Kaito knew was that the last month had been a rather sad and boring one. He had tried to hang out with the Namekians at the Grand Village, but this had been unfruitful while he waited for his father. The only things most Namekians did was plant weird trees, meditate, and talk amongst themselves. It was not stuff that interested the boy. Kaito had seen a few spar together but humans and Namekians had told him to keep away from these types. So he did.
Kaito stood up from where he was seated and walked to the edge of the human settlement. He had been thinking about the past far too long. He looked out across the grassy blue plains and headed out towards the Grand Village of Namekians. Most humans considered the distance to there to be a minimum of three miles away, if not more. The did not care though he was not coming back to the human settlement for a long time, a thing shown by his resolve to carry his great grandfather's glove in his pocket. It was time to find both of his known family members.
