Winta let out a deep breath as he wandered the so called 'Blood Plains' really nothing more than a barren wasteland of jagged stone outcroppings and from what he had seen from up above it also served as a home to several species of rather large and likely quite dangerous creatures. Winta however held no fear of the Earth beasts, his mind and ability to fly would place him far ahead of any such creature if one were foolish enough to see him as a prey animal. What he wanted from the Blood Plains was a nice place far from civilization to work on getting down a technique he had been learning since before this mission had even begun. The technique was one that was a very big part of Arcosian history as there race had a natural affinity for such techniques due to there superior minds. The technique in question was the art of Telekenisis. The ability to manipulate the physical world with just the force of one's mind. Back home on the Flagship Winta had been studying to learn the art under his direct commander Chiyl. Chiyl had managed to instill in him the basics of how the technique operated just before Winta needed to embark on his trip to Earth so that he could continue while traveling and if he did not complete it en-route then he could continue while not busy on Earth.
Sadly his efforts aboard his ship had not yielded the level of results that Winta had wanted, he had managed to levitate several small objects for short periods of time but the major issue had been the lack of heavy objects to train with on the ship. The biggest object on the ship had actually been himself and levitating himself while POSSIBLE was not advised for a novice. Levitation was not the same as Flight and had he tried he would have been more likely to fling himself into the walls then actually learn anything. Now however on Earth, here in the Blood Plains he ahd an abundance of rocks and boulders of varying sizes and density's with which to practice. He REFUSED to believe that he was not capable of using Telekinesis he was descended from Lord Frieza himself! A man who made incredible use of the psychic powers of the Arcosian race when he had been alive.
The reason he needed large objects was because training Telepathy was much like training muscles, you needed to exert true effort in order to make any real progress and while Winta was not much for physical pursuits he certainly understood the method of working out muscles and how it would apply to his Telepathy. Now seated between several large boulders, two smaller than himself and one quite a bit larger Winta began meditating, clearing his mind of all thought other than the rocks Winta began reaching out to them with his mind. Slowly around one of the smaller boulders a faint purple energy began to emit from it however the rock remained stalwart not moving even an inch despite Winta beginning to place more and more mental pressure on it. Winta could not SEE that the rock was in place but he could most certainly FEEL it and slowly his impassive mask broke into an annoyed scowl as minutes passed and all he accomplished was a vague nudge from the rock.
Letting out a sigh Winta began refocusing himself trying hsi ebst to release his anger, anger would only distract him from his task, would only hinder his work. Slowly Winta lifted his arm and pointed his palm at the glowing rock. Ciyhl had told him that it was not uncommon for those new to the power to require a 'focus' of sorts. For many this focus was gestures mostly with ones hands as they had they greatest range of motion and also had a mental connection to 'moving' objects. Winta closed his hand as if he were grasping something as he placed more pressure on the rock, imagining that with his hand he was lifting it Winta felt something drastically different. After nearly two hours of work he had finally managed to lift the rock! With a smirk Winta opened his eyes to see the rock floatin before him. He slowly gestured with his arm moving the rock through the air slowly.
As Winta began 'playing' with the rock however something was creeping up on the young Arcosian. One of the beasts that he had so callously dismissed had found him, a truly massive feline was creeping up on what it believed to be some sort of reptilian, not it's usual prey but considering it's under the feline was more than willing to snap up a bit of easy prey. As Winta maneuvered the rock he slowly turned around until he finally caught a glance of the beast. Already it was so close just a few feet away. Winta's jaw dropped as he eyed the creature, how could something so large have snuck up on him so easily? "You don't want to do this beast, just run along and maybe I'll let you live." Witna said with a smirk as he kept the rock steady. The feline could not understand the words Winta spoke and while it was aware that creatures that spoke like that often hunted wildlife and thus were even further from his normal prey he didn't much care.
Withotu warning the feline pounced at Winta moving through the air with incredible speed as it easily closed the gap between the arcosin and itself almost before Winta could even realize it, but apart of Winta DID see it coming and on pure impulse and self preservation instinct Winta whipped his hand forward and willed the rock to fire forward. Only after the rock had already impacted the feline did Winta realize what he had done, he had not only maintained control under pressure but he had even gotten so far also to be able to use the skill in battle! With a vicious smirk Winta would proceed to lift the rock once again and with just it alone batter the feline until it moved no more. Once the creature was dead Winta decided to put the creature that had been so inadvertently helpful to him to yet another use. Food.
