An ominous wind rushed past the boy. GG had not noticed, she was so excited to see his ingenious plan go into fruition that she watched the Ghettien Facility with glazed over eyes. She didn't want to miss that first explosion, or the sound of a human screaming from either terror or despair. She kept trying to imagine how it might sound, so much that she was afraid she wasn't prepared and her heart might skip a beat after the sudden shouts. Unfortunately, it was taking rather long and she began to feel discouraged.
Haku turned to the sky. He has not yet been able to sense energy, but the fact that he had detected the presence of someone like this, implied he was getting there slowly. For a second there, he almost felt his sugar drop after confirming one of the D12 were in the vicinity with his own two eyes. But his expression of surprise was hidden by the black shades over his young visage; instead, he snarled at him for a moment. Haku didn't like surprises. But then he decided not to make any conclusions just yet, the saiyan's presence could mean anything; he had either come to help or wreck his plans.
"Russel of the Deadly Dozen," the boy addressed formally. GG was soon made aware of their visitor and turned to face him beside Hakusai. He continued, "It's certainly a surprise to see you here. Have you come to help me?" he asked, though he only waited one or two seconds before continuing, probably cutting the D12 member off before he could say anything meaningful. "-Well it isn't necessary. I appreciate the thought, but I've already got this down. Any minute now you will witness the Ghettien Well burst into flames behind us. And I didn't even have to lift a finger." The boy grinned smugly. He was so confident in his plans, so sure that the human would do as told without pulling any loose ends. Perhaps the boy still needed to learn a thing or two when it came to giving orders and choosing his units. He was still as naive as a child, which he was...

Landing only because of the immediate pick up on his scouter, Russ landed just a few feet away from Haku, standing atop a small boulder that already towered above Haku at four feet. Kicking his right heel releasing a light black smoke from behind him the man was more than willing to speak with the young prodigy. Kal was rather fond of him so it was only natural that dear old dad would be interested in finally meeting the child.
"Riiight right. No man you do your thing...Lets see you're...Haku right?"
The inside of his visor rang away with information, unlike the common scouter the shades did not show lights reflecting against the skin or over the eyes. Haku would have no idea that the visor was running the entire time. The boy's profile popped up instantly, and Russ would use that to his advantage.
"So little dude whats the plan? I'm just here to watch things happen...Call me Russ"
He said, running his right hand through the well layered hair that had fallen into his visor. His left hand however would not move. His index finger tapping lightly against the palm of his hand. The tick was hardly noticeable. Meeting with Russ may have been just a little intimidating for Haku as the man was in fact a superior and a well earned one at that. Though Russ was well known for being able to engage in any situation, his actual prowess was not known because all evidence of his involvement was entirely shattered in every case. The man was like a genie, popping around where he was needed, and mysteriously taking out all who were there...

"Brother I don't think you belong here"
The blond would hear from behind him as the man stepped forward. He had appeared so instantly that it was as though he had been standing there the entire time. Zach would turn to find that the man he had seen in the air, was now standing just feet from him, though clearly he had seen the fellow fly some distance away towards master Haku. The well dressed saiyan took a look at one of the turbines that Zach had so easily studied and looked back at him raising his left arm to his chin and scratching the light stubble.
"So how are you gonna shut it down man. Thinking about zapping a few light bulbs, throwing a stick into a gear or something?"
Such eloquently put espionage. Zach was in a pickle now, another person had caught him in the act, and that had been something that Haku would not have intended, but even more interesting was the fact that Russ...was in two places at once...
"Who do you belong to friend?" ___________________________________________________________________

As Zach surveyed the pump room and was about to head for the breaker boxes he was greeted by an unexpected voice from directly behind. Someone must have come through the door without him hearing but from the sound of the voice it wasn't the pint sized kid who'd put him on this mission. Still the sudden sound of someone speaking to him was a bit of a surprise and the blonde teenager visibly sitffened in alarm. It lasted only a moment before he relaxed turned around as the man speaking to him continued, asking him how he was planning to shut the pumps off and who he belonged to. It was interesting that the man, a Saiyan evidently by the look of his high tech headgear, had worded it just the way Zach was going to do it, he had no intention of destroying the pumps, just shutting them off. In fact his instruction were quite vague in that regaurd entirely, all he did know was that if someone got in his way he was supposed to 'kill' them. Thankfully no one yet had gotten in his away as he didn't know just how far he could bend his orders to avoid killing anyone.
"Begging your pardon sir but I was told to come in here so near as I can reason, I am supposed to be here." Zach responded amicably. "And the pumps, well I wasn't told exactly but I was just going to throw the breakers, or pull the fuses. I didn't get a chance to look in the panels." Zach continued, answering as honestly. "As for my master, the kid outside is not him. He got permission to take me here today, my master owns the farm a few miles outside the city here. We grow food for it and the Saiyan garrison." the shirtless blonde concluded bu made no moves to continue with his work. If this guy wanted him to continue he could tell him to do so, if not then things were going to get complicated.

GG had been holding her breath the entire time, literally. Her face was as purple as a choking apple from the moment the odd man arrived. She was confused. Hakusai seemed to be well-known for a random adult to recognize him. It was later that her nostrils flared when 'The Deadly Dozen' was mentioned. "HM!?" she exclaimed from within her enclosed lips. It was predictable what kind of questions could be running through her mind. Why was a member of the D12 doing here? Why did he know Hakusai? Why did Hakusai know him? She gawked with her eyes at Haku, but it wasn't until the man revealed his intentions that she finally opened her mouth and allowed fresh air into her lungs. GG gasped and coughed, propping her hands on her knees as she attempted to catch her breath. "Good!" she thought, "he's not here to interfere..."
Haku glanced at the girl for but a second. It was hard not to when she was so disposed of making such a big scene about it. He rolled his eyes. Returning his attention to the saiyan settled over a large boulder, he offered a genuine smile. He was relieved as well. He may be stubborn and hard-headed, but even he knew his boundaries. He wasn't a foolish child -at least, not always. "Very well, Russ." He said, acknowledging his name. "As you are probably aware, the building behind us is the main water reserve for the Ghettien Settlement. Headquarters has decided to punish the humans for rebelling, by destroying this foundation. Now, I could have easily done it myself; but instead, I've borrowed a slave to do the dirty work for us."
"Isn't it brilliant!?" GG asked after finally getting her act together. "What better way to punish humans by turning them against each other?"
Haku grinned. He had to admit. If GG was good for anything, it was flattery. And that was something the child just couldn't get enough of.

Russ nodded slowly, acknowledging the young boy's plan. The outburst from the girl at his side was amusing as well. So young and he already had a fan girl. Russ was taken back to his own growing in the empire and couldn't help but admire the child's dedication. However he was not his son. Russ had no pity for children, and so treated them as equally as he did full grown adults, which made the next moment slightly more sadistic.
"Wow that is a pretty brilliant idea kid...I mean if you wanted to be banished from the empire and mocked by everyone. But hey if that's what you were aiming for."
Undoubtedly this would get a rise out of Haku. Russ wasn't just being condesending, he meant every word of what he said. Haku failed to understand the ramifications of his actions. Lifting his right hand and running it gently through his perfectly falling hair Russ continued, possibly cutting Haku off just as he had before.
"Its a real shame my son didn't teach any sense into you. Tell me Hakusei, what happens to a human deprived of water"
Regardless of his answer the man would only wait a second before sharply responding to his own question.
"They die. And a dead slave has not been punished Haku, they have been set free"
On a philosophical level this meant one thing, but to russ it was simple, if they were going to punish the human's they needed a plan that would really cause their suffering. This would simply kill off plenty of able bodied people. Haku's plan was devastating, but its ramifications would be much heavier than even he anticipated.

"The young saiyan? Well that is perplexing"
Russ said to the blond man, reaching up and scratching his head almost mockingly. He was obviously treating Zach like any common saiyan would, an ignorant slave.
"Because that saiyan just warned me that a shirtless man was going to deactivate the water supply here. That man couldn't be you, because i'm supposed to kill that man. No you apparently are a...loyal...slave"
If Zach could pick up on vocal cues he would immediately know that this was not in fact a genuine statement, Russ did not see him as a loyal slave and instead sought to kill him. How would the blond respond? Had the boy set him up? Who was this new tailed master?

As Zach stood facing the Saiyan at the doors, his back towards the running machinery and the safety railing that ran around them, the blonde boy started to get a little nervous with the way the man was speaking to him. True he was never treated well by the Saiyans on the farm but they were up front with their intentions, this guy sounded like he was trying to verbally sidestep him and do something nasty. What was worse was as the other continued to speak his intent was obvious and what might happen to him even more so, but the reason for it wasn't exactly clear. Why would the boy go to all the trouble to get him from his master only to try and kill him and not even with his own hands. Not only did the first part not make sense but neither did the fact that the boy wasn't here himself as Saiyans were very hands on when it came to this type of thing. Zach didn't have time to think long on that subject though, he had to say something quickly to get out of this mess.
"Begging your pardon again sir but I was told to come in here by the young master outside. I don't know if he intends it as a game but if he intends to do me harm, my master will not be happy." Zach replied thinking perhaps throwing his master's proverbial weight around might help. "You can tell just by looking at me, I am an important asset to him. I am well fed, worked hard and sheltered. I know how to read and can even drive a tractor. Maybe the young master is playing a game on you too sir?" the shirtless blonde continued and backed up a step, the lower portion of his bare back coming in contact with the cold metal railing and bringing him to a halt. He raised his arms at the elbows out to the sides, opening his pals towards the insincerely friendly man, not wanting to appear a threat not that such a thought had entered his mind since his battle alongside Koli.

Haku was in the zone. The saiyan girl continued to feed his ego and point out how marvelous his plan was, and now that he was debriefing Russ of the Deadly Dozen, he was expecting for further admiration. His eyes flashed as the possibilities rushed in; his actions today could become his free ticket as a new member of the D12 -or so he thought. Haku furrowed his brows in response to the man's riddle. He didn't understand why the empire would banish him, surely it was a joke. And he couldn't fathom how the health of humans were relevant to the conversation. As far as he knew, death was the greatest punishment of all. Fear of death was the reason for which they possessed humans under their undeniable control. If humans rebel, it is because they believe they are competent enough to fight against the saiyan empire, because they think they can win. Otherwise, the fear of dying subdues them. Hakusai was convinced that the saiyan was playing games with him and remained calm. He would not be made a fool of.
"Your ignorance is showing," Haku countered. "The empire was the one to issue the realization of this mission. If it were not their wish for it to be done, then they would not have asked. And what about you? Aren't you here for the same reason? Didn't you come here to do exactly what I am about to?"

"Haha, no kid. I'm not here to blow up the water station. And if I remember correctly...You didn't qualify"
Stunning. Obviously russ had not been there to hear the woman turn Haku down, yet he used her exact words in burning him yet again. Now the man's purpose was becoming even more clear. He was here specifically to stop Haku from going through with his plans. Another light hearted laugh chuckled from his belly before the man ran his fingers through his hair yet again and looked back at Haku through his visor. The full moon reflecting off both the shine of his greasy hair, and the rim of him glasses.
"Sorry little dude I didn't mean to bring down your buzz...but yeah you can't kill off an entire race because they rose up. You just knock em back down and move on. We can fix all this right now and no one has to be in any trouble. We can just blame it on the human and walk away. What do you say brother?"
Russ was offering him an out, one that likely would not come again. It was time for the boy to make a quick decision as to whether or not he would move on and find a new venture, or do what Haku always did, talked with his fists.
______________________________________________________________________________
"Oh Cabbe! I know him man"
The long haired saiyan remised as he walked up and down the control panels of the water station, running his fingers over the many nobs and buttons. It was strange that with his presence, most of the other human's appeared to have evacuated, and then within seconds a bleering red light began to flash behind them, followed by the most obnoxious alarm.
"Buzz kill dude, now we can't talk anymore!"
He yelled from across the room, reaching for a nearby lever. With his fingers wrapped tightly around it, he pulled down instantly cutting off the lights to the room they were in. The only light shone in from the window's nearby, the button's on the console, and of course the red light that flashed every few seconds illuminating the room in a blood red hue.
"Well, lets see if such an important asset can take on a decent beating!"
Zach had been set up, not by Haku of course, the boy still intended for him to take out the water plant, but russ had other plans and for them to work zach had to die.
Another light would enter the room, this one attached to Russ' fist as he thrust it forward, he was a considerable distance away from Zach at this point, so the punch would obviously fall short. His glove however did not, flying off his hand, a glove in the shape of a fist would fly at Zach. If it hit, the electric energy that glowed so preciously around it would act like a taser and electrocute its victim. If it missed, or after the strike, the glove would come flying back to Russ, attaching quickly to his fingers. Russ of course figured this human to be dead after a single blow and so did not prepare a second attack.

For a moment, a breife one that was, Zach felt reliefe when the man before him stated he knew his master. That moment however was all to short as the Saiyan started to stroll about the pumping station, gliding his hands over the various control boxes. Then as if on cue or perhaps it was the Saiyan's own doing, a wailing claxon started to sound accompanied by flashing red lights that replaced the steady white glow from the overhead lamps. The building was in a varitable storm of obnoxious sight and sound as the Saiyan continued to speak, but not saying any words Zach wanted to hear. His very manerisms had put the teen on edge and now as he strolled back the Saiyan stated very bluntly that he intended to see just how good a beating the shirtless blonde could take.
It was this statement that alerted the teen enough to start preparing a defense, briing his arms back in and raising his right up into a guarding postion. The lack of proper light in the room made it difficult to keep precise track of the Saiyan's movements however the growing glow now being emmitted from his fist told the boy all he needed to know, he was about to be attacked and knowing the masters it wasn't going to be anything weak. It was only because he had the warning he had that Zach had the time to gether the energy he needed for an instant later the Saiyan launched his fists, or at least it seemed that way to Zach, strait at him. Directing the energy he gathered, Zach quickly positioned his right forearm to intercept the flying, electrified hand and an instant before the glove would have struck him the translucent blue, disk form of his energy buckler manifested it's self. The electrical charge blasted against the immaterial form of the shield, radiating out in all directions for a moment and then the were gone, leaving the shield to glow for a second more before returning to to it's familliar translucent state.
Zach didn't know what to do after blocking the shot however, he simply stood there, his back braxed against the railing, right arm held up in a defensive poster and his left slung down, fist clenched and ready to throw a punch. The man had obviously expected him to take the hit and likely be down for the count given the casual manner in which he retreived his flying gauntlet, however Zach had blocked the attack and was still very much standing. Did the man expect him to simply take the beating or did he want the boy to put up a fight? Zach was thinking the former as the man himself said he wanted to see what kind of beating he could endure but that just raised another question and still more after that one. Should he let this Saiyan beat the snot out of him with or without blocking? What would his master wanthim to do? And lastly, what was the young Saiyan outside doing? How was he involved in all of this? Diciding noting was going to get answered unless Zach asked his question, the boy started with the first, however seeing as the Saiyan's enjoyed brovado he put on as much as he though he could get away with.
"Sir if I may suggest, if you intend to beat me, then do it, don't play tricks." the ahirtless teen stated and brough his right arm a bit further out to the side so that he could see more clearly instead of through the translucent shield. "And while we're on the subject, were wanting a real fight? My master gets bored sometimes and actually has me strike back."

The wind blew past them in the silence which had grown between them. GG was out of words and stared worriedly at Haku, while the boy himself gazed at the ground intently. The meaning behind Russ's words were puzzling They could have been interpreted in so many ways. A D12? he questioned impossible... or so he said. The boy's eyes grew wider by the minute for every moment he spent pondering on the implications of the man's words. The longer he dwelled, the clearer it seemed. Haku had a grievous expression, one which made GG even more nervous. But he's Kal's father...
Suddenly, he began to chuckle in reponse. "I'm gonna have to apologize to Kal," he said, raising his hand as he spoke. Pieces of rubble rotated around his feet. The palm of his hands began to glow a bright yellow and emit its buzzed noise throughout the open field. Then, he thrust his arm to the side -but he didn't attack Russ, instead, he answered the man's question by inaugurating the destruction of the Ghettien Well by launching an energy blast towards it. "I never thought you, of all people, would betray the saiyan empire." Haku smirked mischeivously, hiding the uncertainty in his eyes with his shades. It was the only answer. Russ's argument had made absolutely no sense. And the only reason a saiyan would defend the well being of a human is because they were plotting against the latter.
Haku wasn't looking forward to breaking the news to Kal, but it was what must be done. It was a lie to say that his heart was not beating like a racing horse, but he was very skilled at the art of deception; it almost seemed as if he expected it to happen. GG seemed thrilled with his choice.
